16th century

Better known as the Church of Santa Lucia due to its proximity to a votive aedicola dedicated to the saint, the current appearance of the Church of San Sebastiano dates from the 16th century. Documentary evidence suggests that this later church was built over a pre-existing medieval structure. The small place of worship has for a long time been used as a private chapel, being passed down as an heirloom by the Gizzinosi Ramirez and Volpicelli families among others. The façade has a pointed arched doorway and rectangular window topped by the coat of arms of the Gizzinosi Ramirez family. Over the façade rises a small bell-gable. The single-hall interior contains a 18th-century painting of Saint Sebastien commissioned by the Volpicelli family.
